Students of the Faculty of Graduate Studies from the programs of Conflict Resolution and International Law and Diplomacy met Mr. Hadi Amro- the US State Department Envoy and its accompanied delegation in AAUP- Ramallah Cammpus.
The importance of this meeting comes from the philosophy of Arab American University and the Faculty of Graduate Studies to combine theory and practice in the programs of Conflict Resolution and International Law and Diplomacy in specific in order to discuss many issues around the role of the American administration in the peace process and other law cases that interest students.
Dr. Dalal Iriqat- the VP for International Relations was in the reception of Mr. Amro and the delegation along with Dr. Muayad Abusaa- the VP for Academic Affairs, Prof. Mohammad Asia- the VP for Medical Schools Affairs, Eng. Bara Asfour- the Assistant to the President and Dr. Nowar Qotob- the Dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies.
During the meeting, a deep and long discussion was raised between Mr. Hadi Amro and the students about the American policy in the area, the American efforts to improve the Palestinian situations and how to support the steps of building trust between both parties.
Such meetings contribute in enriching students’ information from acting and analysis as part of the practical implementation of the theories they receive in their studies about peace and conflict resolution topics.
