Identification and characterization of antibacterial active components in crude saps extracted from several plants grow in Palestine

Project Summary: 

To use advanced characterization methodologies at the department of Chemistry, Aston University, UK, with the aid of Dr Khalid Doudin to isolate and characterize the components of saps extracted which has been tested by Prof. Hazem Sawalha and shown to have antibacterial activities (Reference number 6 in the references list mentioned below).

This research shows the importance of plants in Palestinian territories and their use in herbal medicines because they contain antibacterial agents and the possibility of use in the treatment of diseases that affect humans.
