Dr. Yassin Khalil Karso - Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Business Administration at Al Ain University of Abu Dhabi.
Dr. Yassin joined the Arab American University where he studied Management Information Systems between 2000 and 2004. After graduating, he tried to gain practical experience. Therefore, he worked for the United Nations in a temporary program in the West Bank, and volunteered to work without pay in another United Nations program.
In 2007, Dr. Yassin was accepted at Durham University in the United Kingdom, where he pursued a master's degree in financial management, and graduated in 2009. Then, he moved to the United Arab Emirates where he began his academic career at Emirates College as a university lecturer in the Faculty of Management and Economics, and worked there from 2009 to 2012. Next, Dr, Yassin joined Al Ain University as an academic instructor.
In 2017, he began a new challenging journey by pursuing a Ph.D. in Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the University of Strathclyde in the United Kingdom, where he completed the Ph.D. in 2022. It was a journey full of knowledge and challenges.
After obtaining the Ph.D., Dr. Yassin decided to return to the UAE, where he currently works as an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Business Administration at Al Ain University in Abu Dhabi.
In addition to his teaching and research responsibilities, Dr. Yassin received the Dean's Award for Innovation in Teaching in the academic year 2023/2024.

Dear students, I encourage you to stay committed to your goals, even when the journey seems long and full of challenges. Education and perseverance are the keys to the doors of life. Always be curious, keep learning, and remember that every challenge represents an opportunity for growth. When you start this journey, remember that the road may not always be easy, but facing challenges is what makes you truly grow. Seize every opportunity, seek new experiences, and do not be afraid to step out of your comfort zone.
Believe in yourself and your abilities. Perseverance is the key and every setback is a lesson that will shape and strengthen you to become more resilient as well as become the person you are supposed to be.
