Overview

The Sports Hall is equipped with a high-quality air conditioning system and professional wooden flooring. It can accommodate up to 5,000 spectators and is the only hall in the country certified as a home court for the Palestine national basketball team.

It also features international-standard courts for handball, basketball, volleyball, badminton, and futsal. It also includes:

  • Two squash courts to international standards.
     
  • The Rhythm Hall is equipped with modern sound technology and facilities that allow students privacy. It is designed to meet the requirements of rhythmic dance and offers a variety of sports activities, such as Zumba and aerobics.
     
  • Multipurpose halls (chess, table tennis, gymnastics).

Local Community

The Sports Hall serves the local community, including non-University affiliates, by hosting sports, cultural, and social activities as well as events for all segments of the local community, including:

  1. Hosting international matches for the Palestine national basketball team, as the hall is the designated home court for the national team.
     
  2. Hosting numerous group and individual sports matches and activities organized by the Palestinian Olympic Committee, particularly volleyball, handball, and basketball matches, in addition to individual championships such as karate and taekwondo.
     
  3. Hosting all activities and championships of the School Sports Federation affiliated with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, particularly those in the northern region.
     
  4. Hosting social, artistic, and cultural events, such as exhibitions and celebrations of some national events.

Squash Court

Two legal squash courts are open to students, staff, and members of the local community during and after class hours, providing a source of energy, entertainment, and encouragement to play the game away from the pressures of work and study.

Rhythm Hall

A dedicated rhythmic dance hall equipped with modern sound technology and facilities that allow students privacy. Designed to meet the requirements of rhythmic dance, it offers a variety of sports activities, including classes such as: 1- Zumba, 2- Aerobics, and 3- Steps, for students and staff.

Multipurpose Hall

A multipurpose hall (chess, table tennis, and gymnastics) is available to all groups from within and outside the University (students, academic and administrative staff, and members of the local community) during and after school hours for education, entertainment, friendly competition, and to encourage mental and physical activity.
