The Arab American University, through the Office of the Vice President for Artificial Intelligence, headed by Dr. Mona Demaidi, launched the PromptVerse AI platform. This platform is the first of its kind in Palestine specializing in Prompt Engineering and Generative Artificial Intelligence, reflecting the University's leadership in adopting and utilizing modern technologies to serve higher education.

The platform is distinguished by its openness and accessibility to all Palestinian higher education institutions, embodying the Arab American University's national role in supporting digital transformation, promoting the responsible and effective use of AI technologies in the academic environment, as well as expanding the reach of modern digital tools across the higher education sector.

The launch of the PromptVerse AI platform aligns with the Arab American University's vision to strengthen its position as a leading University in the fields of digital transformation and artificial intelligence, and to solidify its role as a pioneering academic institution in transforming modern technology into practical educational tools that serve students, faculty, staff, educational institutions, and the Palestinian community at large.

The platform represents a significant step forward in the development of Palestinian higher education. It aims to empower users to understand the fundamentals of prompt engineering and formulate precise and effective inputs for interacting with generative artificial intelligence (AI) applications. Furthermore, it promotes the organized and responsible use of these technologies, contributing to improved quality of education, enhanced scientific research output, and greater innovation and productivity within academic institutions.

Dr. Bara Asfour, President of the Arab American University, emphasized that the launch of the PromptVerse AI platform marks a significant milestone in the University's journey toward building a modern model for smart education. He noted that the University views AI as a strategic force capable of bringing about genuine transformation in education and scientific research, not merely as a technological tool.

He added, “Making the platform available to all Palestinian higher education institutions reflects the University’s commitment to its national role in serving the higher education sector and supporting digital transformation through practical initiatives that contribute to both creating and keeping pace with technological development.”

For her part, Dr. Mona Demaidi, Vice President for Artificial Intelligence at the Arab American University, affirmed that launching the platform stems from a firm belief that AI skills have become essential for the 21st century. She pointed out that the challenge today is no longer whether or not to use these technologies, but rather how to employ them consciously, accurately, and ethically.

Dr. Demaidi stated, “Through this platform, we seek to transform prompt engineering from a scattered, individual skill into an institutional culture within the higher education sector. We have ensured that the platform is open to all higher education institutions, enabling knowledge exchange, expanding impact, and supporting the development of national capacities in the responsible and productive use of artificial intelligence.”

This initiative comes within a series of efforts led by the Arab American University to enhance its presence in the field of artificial intelligence, by developing educational, training and applied initiatives that respond to the rapid global transformations in the fields of education and work, and contribute to enhancing the readiness of students and graduates to compete in a digital labor market based on knowledge and innovation.

The PromptVerse AI platform also reflects the University’s orientation towards building a smart educational environment that is not limited to providing modern technical tools, but rather focuses on developing thinking methods, improving the quality of educational and research outcomes, and consolidating the principles of ethical and responsible use of artificial intelligence, in line with its national mission to serve education, development, and digital transformation in Palestine.
