The Faculty of Modern Media at the Arab American University has concluded a training course titled "Digital Security Practices and Journalism", in cooperation with Al Jazeera Media Institute and Sada Social Center.
The training course had several objectives, most notably, raising awareness and training for the basic rules of digital security, introducing participants to supporting applications in digital security, and developing their experience in safe browsing on the Internet.
The participants expressed the importance of the training content and exchange of experiences during the discussions that took place in the workshops. They stressed the role of such initiatives in enhancing professional and cognitive capabilities in digital security among media workers.
It is worth noting that the training course was held in two periods, the first was on the University campus in the city of Jenin for three days, targeting media students and graduates in addition to journalists from the cities of Jenin, Nablus and Tubas, and the second period, on the University campus in the city of Ramallah, targeting journalists from the central and southern areas of the West Bank.
