The Dean of Admission and Registration at Arab American University Dr. Hazem Khanfar, participated in the thirty-eighth conference of the Arab Organization for Admissions and Registration in Universities in Arab Countries, which was hosted by Sulaimani Polytechnic University in Kurdistan Region of Iraq.

During the conference, Dr. Khanfar presented a lecture entitled "Calculating Courses from the European System (ECTS) for Visiting Students and Transfer Students", reviewing the most important exchange programs and introducing the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS). The recommendations of the lecture taken in consideration, where it was recommended to hold workshops in the upcoming conferences to gain a deeper understanding of the ECTS system and to invite the universities to learn the process of calculating courses from the ECTS system to Credit hours’ system, by taking the learning outcomes into account in the calculation process.
