Announcing the Start of Accepting Applications for Admission to the Residency Program in Orthodontics for Fall Semester of the Academic Year 2023/2024

The University Specialized Dental Center at the Arab American University in Ramallah announces the start of accepting applications for enrollment in the residency program in Orthodontics for Fall Semester of the academic year 2023/2024, starting from Wednesday 05/07/2023 until Thursday 07/09/2023.

 

Admission Requirements:

  1. The applicant must have a Bachelor’s degree in Oral and Dental Surgery (BDS) or a Doctor of Dentistry (DDS) from a university or academic institution recognized by the Palestinian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research with a grade of no less than “good”.
  2. The applicant must have completed the internship period. As for non-Palestinian doctors, they must complete the internship period specified in their countries.
  3. The applicant is required to obtain a license of practicing the profession from the Palestinian Ministry of Health. As for non-Palestinian doctors, they must obtain a license to practice the profession from their countries.
  4. The applicant must pass the English language exam, the admission exam (written and practical) and the personal interview.

Arab American University ( AAUP ) Campus - Ramallah

 

Admission Application Instructions:

  1. Submission of admission applications will begin on Wednesday morning 05/07/2023.
  2. The Admission Card can be obtained for a graduate studies through:
    • Financial Department at the main campus of the University in Jenin.
    • University campus in Ramallah, Abu Qash, Near Al-Rayhan neighborhood.
    • Admission application fees is 300 NIS non-refundable.
  3. Fill out the online application form available at (www.aaup.edu/apply) And enter all required fields.
  4. After the applicant makes sure that the application has been submitted electronically successfully he should go then to the Deanship of Admissions and Registration at the university main campus in Jenin or Ramallah for submitting the original required documents.
  5. Each application is studied by a specialized committee. This process takes time to study each application individually.
  6. When the application is complete and all requirements have been achieved the student will receive the final acceptance letter.
  7. The student should pay for the seat reservation fees at any of our Accredited Banks or through PALPAY Service then get the seat reservation letter by Email or from the Deanship of Admission and Registration. Which contains login information required for the Edugate Portal and other additional information.
  8. The student should then go the deanship of admission in main campus in Jenin or the registration office in Ramallah Campus to issue the "Student Card" and must submit the seat reservation letter and personal identity.

Required Documents: (Original and legalized copies of the documents below must be submitted in order to secure full admission)

  1. Fill out AAUP online Application.
  2. National Identity Card (local applicants) or passport (international applicants).
  3. Original birth certificate or a copy duly certified.
  4. Recent personal photo (2 pictures).
  5. Transcript of high school diploma certified / or its equivalent by the Palestinian Ministry of Education.
  6. Original or Legalized copies of Academic Certificate and Transcript. ( certified by the Palestinian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research).
  7. Curriculum Vitae.
  8. Experience certificate.
  9. A professions practicing license from the Palestinian Ministry of Health. Non-Palestinian doctors must obtain the professions practicing license from their countries.

 

Remarks:

  1. The deadline to apply for admission to the program if seats are still available, on Thursday, 07/09/2023.
  2. The admission exam will be held on Monday 11/09/2023 at 10:00 am at the Medical Center - University Campus in Ramallah.
  3. Submitting the application form does not -necessarily- guarantee admission to the required program.
  4. Please keep Admission Card until you get the final status of the application.
  5. Classes for Residency Program in Orthodontics expected to begin on Monday 09/10/2023.
  6. Applicants for the Residency Program in Orthodontics may be subject to a level exam or interview (oral or written).
  7. Study period: 3 years.
