Start Accepting Applications at Faculty of Graduate Studies Programs for Spring 2017/2018

Faculty of Graduate Studies at the Arab American University announces of start receiving applications for admission for Spring 2017/2018 from Saturday, 18/11/2017 until Saturday, 13/01/2018 in their programs:                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             

Program

Admission Requirements / Teaching Location

Master in Commercial Law

Applicant must be a holder of a bachelor degree in Law from an accredit university with at least a (Good) standing.

Location: University main campus in Jenin and University site in Ramallah.

Master in Conflict Resolution and Development

Applicant must be a holder of a bachelor’s degree in any filed from an accredit university with at least a (Good) standing, and pass the English language test.

Location: University site in Ramallah.

Master in Intercultural Communication and Literature

Applicant must be a holder of a bachelor’s degree in any filed from an accredit university with at least a (Good) standing, and pass the English language test.

Location: University site in Ramallah.

Master of Business Administration

Applicants should have a bachelor degree in any Administrative and Financial Sciences discipline from a recognized university or academic institution, with a minimum 2.4 GPA (or equivalent) if they graduated since (5) years or more, and 2.6 GPA or (equivalent) if they graduated less than (5) years ago, And have a practical experience at least (4) years, and pass the English language test.

Location: University site in Ramallah.

 Note: admission for This program it will be available also for the Summer semester of academic year 2017/2018.

Master in Strategic Planning and Fundraising

Applicant must be a holder of a bachelor’s degree in any filed from an accredit university with at least a (Good) standing, and pass the English language test.

Location: University site in Ramallah.

Master in Quality Management

Applicant must be a holder of a bachelor’s degree in any filed from an accredit university with at least a (Good) standing, and pass the English language test.

Location: University site in Ramallah.

Master in Computer Science

Applicant must be a holder of a bachelor degree in Computer, IT or Engineering related field from an accredit university with at least a (Good) standing, and pass the English language test.

Location: University main campus in Jenin.

Master in Applied Mathematics

Applicant must be a holder of a bachelor degree in Mathematics or a related discipline of Science or Engineering from an accredit university or academic institution with at least a (Good) standing, and pass the English language test.

Location: University main campus in Jenin.

Master in Physics

Applicant must be a holder of a bachelor degree in Physics or Mathematics or Engineering related field from an accredit university or academic institution with at least a (Good) standing, and pass the English language test.

Location: University main campus in Jenin.

Admission Application Instructions:

  1. Submission of admission applications will begin on Saturday, 18 November 2017.
  2. The Admission Card can be obtained for a master's degree through:
    • Financial Department at the main campus of the University in Jenin.
    • Ramallah Site – AL-Rehan.
    • University Office in Nazareth.
    • Admission application fees is 50 JD non-refundable.

       

  3. Fill out the online application form available at (www.aaup.edu/apply) And enter all the necessary information.
  4. If the application is accepted, the applicant will receive the initial acceptance letter through the SMS service or E-mail which may contain additional instructions. 
  5. Applicant should go to the admissions office in the Admission and Registration Department in the university main campus in Jenin city or could go to the faculty of graduate studies in the university site in Ramallah city for submitting the original documents, receive the final acceptance letter and reserve the seat.

Required Documents:

  1. Fill out AAUP online Application 
  2. Transcript of high school diploma certified / or its equivalent by the Palestinian Ministry of Education and Higher Education.
  3. National Identity Card (local applicants) or passport (international applicants)
  4. Original birth certificate or a copy duly certified. (local applicants)
  5. Personal photo. ( count 2 )
  6. Original or Legalized copies of Bachelor Certificate and Transcript. ( certified by the Palestinian Ministry of Education and Higher Education)
  7. Two letters of recommendation either academic or professional. 
  8. A Goal statement presented by the candidate. ( one to three pages )
  9. Curriculum Vitae. ( Only applicants for MBA program in partnership with Indiana University - Pennsylvania, USA )
  10. Experience Certificate. ( Only applicants for MBA program in partnership with Indiana University - Pennsylvania, USA )
  11. A sealed transcript from the undergraduate university (Transcripts from foreign universities must be legalized and accredited by the Palestinian Ministry of Higher Education)

Note: original and legalized copies of the above documents must be submitted in order to secure full admission.

 

Remarks:

  1. Classes begin on Saturday 17/02/2018.
  2. Submitting the application form does not -necessarily- guarantee admission.
  3. The deadline to apply for admission to the specialties in which seats are still available, on Saturday, 13/01/2018.
  4. Please keep Admission Card until you get the final status of the application.
  5. Applicants for Graduate Programs may be subject to a written or an oral interview.
  6. Applicants in Master programs may be asked to study some remedial courses.
