Arab American University would like to hire an experienced EFL/ESL faculty member to join our team as an English language instructor at the Language Center / Ramallah on a part-time basis starting in the Spring semester of the academic year 2022/2023.

Selected Candidates will be expected to organize courses for non-native speakers with instruction based on diverse task-based activities and pedagogical methods that cover all aspects of the English language (reading, writing, listening, and speaking). Selected candidates will be responsible for creating a positive and supportive classroom environment that encourages students to reach their learning objectives.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Prepares teaching material and designs lessons that cover all aspects of the   English language through reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
• Collaborates and plans with other faculty members in order to implement a    unified curriculum within each level.
• Prepares and administers assessments to determine student progress and achievement of course objectives throughout the semester.

Minimum requirements and skills:

  Master’s degree or Ph.D. in one of the following fields:

• Teaching the English Language / English Literature.
• Education/ Curriculum and Instruction.
• MAT (Master of Arts in Teaching).
• MA in TESOL.
• Teaching Methods.

The applicant should have 3-5 years of previous experience in teaching English as a foreign language / English language as a second language.
