Bilal Ghareeb, PhD (Paris Sorbonne University VI), is an Associate Professor in the Biology and Biotechnology Department at the Arab American University, Palestine. His research program combines empirical investigations with a parallel conceptual endeavor that actively expands the traditional boundaries of molecular biology, genetics, epigenetics, evolution, and bioethics. His scientific experimental publications in varied journals ground his conceptual pursuits. These efforts culminate in his focus on developing conceptual bridges between these contemporary biological sciences and classical scholarly thought within the Arab-Islamic civilization. This effort is giving rise to a novel theoretical vision—an interdisciplinary framework that reinterprets modern empirical findings through the lens of this rich intellectual heritage. By advancing this conceptual synthesis, his work moves beyond empirical description toward foundational theory-building. His integrative work is being published in internationally-ranked journals (e.g., Theology and Science). He is author of more than twenty peer-reviewed papers in the mentioned domains. In addition, he started publishing original multi-media and cartoon comics series on biology and biotechnology.
An important perspective is to complement an already available laboratory at the Arab American University (that he initially funded by France through previous collaboration projects with his partners at INRA de Jouy-en-Josas) as a complete research laboratory, in continuous collaboration with international research teams.
