Dr. Bilal Ghareeb was born in 1969 in Bethlehem. In 1987, he graduated from high school with an excellent evaluation (93.1%) in the Scientific Stream. In 1992, he got a B. Sc. from Jordan University in Agricultural Sciences (Animal Production) with an excellent grade. In 1994, he earned an M. Sc. from Rennes University and ENSAR (France) in Biology and Agricultural Sciences. In 1998, he obtained a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology and Physiology from Paris University and INRA de Jouy-en-Josas (France) with the First Honor Degree. He enrolled in a multi-European post-doctoral fellowship at INRA d'Avignon (France) on plant molecular genetics (1998-2000). Since 2001, Dr. Ghareeb has been working in the Department of Biology and Biotechnology at the Arab American University-Jenin (Palestine) and has become an “Associate Professor” in 2009. His areas of interest are applied cellular and molecular biology, and genetics, biotechnology and evolution in an ethical and civilizational perspective. Dr. Ghareeb is author of more than twenty-two peer-reviewed papers in the mentioned domains. He is looking forward to publishing original books focused on genetics, biotechnology and evolution in a scientific, ethical and civilization perspective. He is working also on publishing original multi-media and cartoon comics series on biology and biotechnology.
