‏Dr. Haytham Issa, BDS, OMFS ‏ I’m a consultant Oral and maxillofacial surgeon with over 12 years of experience in my respective field. I received my Bachelor’s degree in dental surgery in 2003 from the college of dentistry at Baghdad University. Then I obtained a higher diploma of oral surgery in 2006 from Alexandria University. After completing a 4-year residency at the university of Jordan hospital, I obtained a higher specialization in oral & maxillofacial surgery in 2010. I have been an Arab and Palestinian board-certified surgeon since 2010. In addition to my private surgical practice in Bethlehem, I have been a consultant oral and maxillofacial surgeon at Almizan Hospital, Istishari Arab Hospital, and Bethlehem Arab Society for Rehabilitation since 2011. I was also the representative of the Palestinian universities in the scientific committee of the Arab Medical council between the years 2013-2017 and have been a member of the high scientific committee associated with the Palestinian medical council since 2018. I have also held various positions in the Palestinian Dental association such as Head of the Scientific committee, chairman of the Palestinian Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and general secretary of the Palestinian Association of Dental Implantology ( PADI ). Throughout my career, I have always been involved in education at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. I was head of department of oral and maxillofacial surgery, periodontology, implantology and oral pathology at the Arab-American University from 2012 till 2016. In addition, I have been an assistant professor of oral and maxillofacial surgery at the Arab-American University since 2011.
