Ibrahim Hamad is a lecturer of Linguistics in the Modern Languages department at the Arab American University, Jenin, Palestine. He has been teaching linguistics at AAUP since 2009. He has an MA in Applied Linguistics from Al-Najah University (2008) and a PhD in Linguistics from BIU (2024). His main research interest is in diglossia, where two varieties of the same language co-exist and are used in the same community at the same time. A good example of which is Arabic language i.e. Standard Arabic and Palestinian Arabic.
