Dr. Abu-Jeib received his Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Birzeit University. He graduated with high distinction and was the first in the class (of all majors) that graduated that year (1994), He finished his first Master's degree in Computer Science from the American University (AU) in Washington DC. He graduated in 11 months with a GPA of 3.83 (out of 4). He was offered a Ph.D. fellowship by AU, but he declined.
