I have been working as an occupational therapist and occupational therapy instructor for over 13 years. After my graduation in 2007, I got a job as an occupational therapist for students with disabilities at Bethlehem University and then in 2009, I moved to a new position at the ministry of higher education in the resource center. Working within a multidisciplinary team we provide services for students with disabilities to facilitate their inclusion in mainstream governmental schools. In sep, 2012, I was awarded a scholarship by the Saed Foundation to study MSc in Health and Rehabilitation at Southampton University and graduated with distinction. Upon my graduation, I recieved a new job as a senior occupational therapist at the Dubai Early Childhood Developmental Center where I spent 4 years working within Transdicilinary team with children with variety of conditions and their families as well as providing training for school teachers who work and support children with disabilities. In 2018, I have been hired as an occupational therapy instructor at the OT department at AAUP. Since that time, I have been teaching a number of courses (pediatric, special topics, independent living skills, adaptive equipment, research) and providing fieldwork supervision and training for OT students and supervisors. In 2019, I have been assigned as the head of the OT department for one year. During this year, I have worked with other colleagues on developing the OT curriculum and plan as well as the development of the internship program. We have been also received a number of recognitions for projects such as the Soft Landing project and the OT pediatric Mobile Application. Other accomplishments I had a major role in during my work at AAUP is the establishment of the prosthetic and orthotic department and Speech and Hearing department. I have worked with other colleagues on preparing the applications for these programs and were accepted by the higher education. Then, I have been assigned as the head of the Prosthetic and orthotic department for almost 2 years. Currently, I have been given the responsibility of directing the Speech Department and Leading the OT internship program.
