Nizar Asad is a lecturer at Arab American University- Palestine, mainly teaching translation studies. He is also a PhD student at Vrije Universiteit Brussel. His PhD project investigates the politics and poetics of space in Palestinian contemporary literature. He draws on postcolonial theory, focusing on literary representations of politics, conflict, hegemony and colonialism in the occupied land of Palestine. He has published four articles, and currently working on two articles in literature.
