How will I learn

All students receive training in linguistics, literature, and both written and spoken English in order to develop their skills and broaden their understanding of the English-speaking world.

To earn a Bachelor’s degree in English, students in the Department of Modern Languages must successfully complete a total of 128 credit hours, distributed across the following categories:

  1. University Requirements: Students must complete 23 credit hours, of which 14 are mandatory and 9 are university electives.
  2. Faculty Requirements: Students must complete 9 credit hours.
  3. Department Requirements: Students are required to complete 90 credit hours, including 45 core courses, 21 departmental electives, and 24 credits aligned with their chosen track (either Translation or Communication).
  4. Free Electives: Students must also complete 6 credit hours of free electives.

Accordingly, the total number of credit hours required for graduation with a Bachelor’s degree in English is 128 credit hours.
