Dr Tahani Fattouh

Director General – General Administration of Pharmacy / Palestinian Ministry of Health

 

Dr. Tahani Fattouh holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Pharmacy from An Najah National University (2005) and a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from Zaporizhia State Medical University, Ukraine (1991).

 

She has worked at the Palestinian Ministry of Health since 1993 and currently serves as Director General of the General Administration of Pharmacy.

 

During her career, Dr. Tahani has held several leadership positions, beginning as Director of the Hospital Pharmacy Department (2002–2013), before progressing through the ranks of the General Administration of Pharmacy to become Director of the Pharmaceutical Information Department, then Director of the Dangerous Drugs Department, after that Director of the Tenders and Contracts Department, followed by the Central Drug Warehouses, and finally to her current position.

 

Dr. Fattouh has contributed to the formulation and development of Palestinian pharmaceutical performance and the development of national pharmaceutical policies, particularly those related to drug registration, drug pricing, pharma-covigilance, drug information, and drug supply. She has also participated in the preparation of national treatment protocols and guidelines, and conducted numerous studies on the evaluation and rationalization of drug use and others on drug supply systems.

 

Dr. Fattouh has represented Palestine in numerous regional and international meetings and conferences specializing in drug policies and pharma-covigilance. She has extensive contributions to professional training as well as scientific committees affiliated with the Ministry of Health and possesses extensive experience in pharmaceutical management and systems.
