About Program

Overview

The Master program in Data Science and Public Health aims to equip students with advanced skills in analyzing and managing big data in the healthcare sector, integrating artificial intelligence as well as machine learning techniques. These skills are essential for improving the efficiency and quality of health systems, as students learn how to use advanced statistical and computational techniques, including machine learning algorithms, to analyze big data and make evidence-based decisions.

This program enables students to apply advanced models based on machine learning techniques to measure and improve performance in the healthcare sector, with a focus on developing quantitative and computational skills to analyze health data more accurately. This would contribute to improving the patient experience and increasing the effectiveness of healthcare. The program qualifies graduates to join leadership positions in the public and private sectors, as specialists in health data science. It also allows graduates to leverage artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques to make fundamental changes in healthcare policies and procedures.

Goals

This program aims to enable students to manage and analyze massive data sets and learn how to interpret their findings. Through learning about three principal of health data science: statistics, computing, and health sciences.
The program aims to provide students with rigorous quantitative knowledge in statistical and computational skills needed to manage, analyze, and learn from health data.
Students will learn to scrape, create, and manage large health-related datasets; summarize, visualize, and interpret data.
Student will be able to apply statistical methods to draw conclusions from the data; use machine learning to reveal features of large, complex health-related datasets.
