A delegation from the Arab American University visited the Daburiya Local Council and the comprehensive school in the village. The visit aimed at enhancing cooperation, discussing a number of student issues, and introducing the university, its faculties, specializations, academic programs, and medical and service centers.

The university delegation included Dr. Fadi Jumaa, Dean of Student Affairs and Advisor to the University President for Public Relations Affairs, Dr. Main Zakarneh, Dean of the Faculty of Sport Sciences, and the public relations team, Mr. Ahmad Mousa, and Mr. Ahmed Abu Tul. The delegation was received by the chairman of the Daburiya Local Council, Mr. Zuhair Yousfieh, and the council staff, as well as a number of prominent persons in the village.

During the meeting, a group of issues were discussed that would facilitate the enrollment of Palestinian students from occupied territory in the university’s specializations and programs, in addition to providing a detailed explanation of the university, its faculties, the teaching methods followed, and the development of the curricula to meet the requirements of the local, regional and international labor market.

Dr. Jumaa thanked the Chairman of the Council and the attendees for the invitation to visit the village and the comprehensive school. He also stressed that the AAUP is keen to strengthen all aspects of cooperation with local councils and continuous communication with schools through field visits, and to invite them to visit the University and get to know it closely.

Moreover, the university delegation visited the comprehensive school in the village of Daburiya, where they met with its twelfth graders. Dr. Fadi Jumaa the students a detailed explanation about the specializations and programs of the University and its various faculties, as well as the scholarships offered to all students within certain mechanisms. In addition, Dr. Jumaa explained that AAUP has addressed all the challenges facing students from the Occupied Palestinian Territory, especially in training in hospitals, and continuous updating and development of academic programs to meet the needs and requirements of the Occupied Palestinian Territory.

A set of videos were shown to introduce the University, its specializations, its sport facilities, and its training, educational and rehabilitation centers, with a focus on specializations such as prosthetics, sport sciences, nursing, medicine, and allied medical specialties.
