A delegation from the Arab American University visited the Education Directorate in Jenin for the sake of strengthening partnership ties and exchanging scientific expertise. This takes place in light of the University's endeavor to provide, in cooperation with its partners, the best scientific and educational guidance, which positively reflects on students and enhances the bonds of science and knowledge.
The delegation included the Assistant to AAUP President for Community Affairs, Dr. Laila Herzallah, Director of Public Relations, Mr. Firas Saifi, Vice Dean of Student Affairs, Mr. Mohammad Kamil, Head of the Activities Department in Public Relations, Ms. Samah Dawahdeh, and Mr. Ahmed Abu Toul. The delegation was received by the Director of the Education Directorate, Mr. Tareq Alawneh, and the Director of the Public Relations Department, Ms. Ola Zakarneh.
وورحب علاونة بالوفد مشيداً بالعلاقة التعاونية بين الطرفين فيما، تخلل اللقاء تبادل للأفكار والمقترحات التي من شأنها أن تعزز من سبل التعاون بين الجامعة ومديرية التربية والتعليم باعتبارهما الحاضنة الآمنة للطلبة في مرحلة المدرسة والجامعة، وتطرق الطرفين إلى جزئية المنح التي تقدمها الجامعة للطلبة المتفوقين ومدى أهميتها ودورها في تحفيز الطلبة وزيادة روح المنافسة.
Alawneh welcomed the delegation, praising the cooperative relationship between the two parties. The meeting included an exchange of ideas and proposals that would enhance cooperation between the University and the Education Directorate. This is because they are the safe incubators for students at the school and university levels. The two parties discussed the grants provided by the University to outstanding students and their importance and role in motivating students and increasing the spirit of competition.
The delegation praised the permanent role of Mr. Tareq Alawneh in many positions and his role in attaining many achievements and positive changes in education and its educational approach. The delegation stressed the successive role of education in qualifying students scientifically and cognitively to join the subsequent university stages.
Alawneh expressed his appreciation and pride of the University for its great scientific, cognitive and educational role in graduating distinguished and capable students in the labor market. He stressed that the Arab American University is a landmark and a distinguished scientific edifice that Jenin in particular and the nation in general are proud of.
Dr. Harzallah and Mr. Saifi explored the modern scientific and technical programs as well as the medical facilities, which the University has created within its development vision aimed at employing the latest smart tools on an ongoing basis, in addition to harnessing them to serve the University students. This is to ensure students’ excellence in academically, cognitively and in skills. This would increase students’ job opportunities in the labor market.
The meeting was concluded with an official invitation, by the delegation to the Directorate of Education, to visit the University and know about its modern facilities and new educational programs, the Prosthetics and Orthotics Factory, which is the first and only in the Middle East, in addition to the Medical Complex that is distinguished by many medical services.
