A delegation from the Arab American University has visited Tulkarm Governor Mustafa Taqatqa and the Director General of the Tulkarm Education Directorate, Mr. Mazen Jarrar, to confirm the University's support for the governorate's institutions, and to present AAUP’s achievements and services to students and the local community.
The University delegation included assistant to the president for community affairs, Dr. Laila Herzallah, the director general of the Prosthetics and Orthotics Factory, Eng. Mustafa Irshaid, and the public relations department employee, Mr. Raed Abu Baker.
In separate meetings, Tulkarm Governor Mustafa Taqatqa welcomed the attendees and emphasized the role of the Arab American University and its academic, scientific, social, and societal presence in all fields. He stressed the importance of cooperation between the governorate on the one hand and the governorate's institutions on the other hand with the University, with regard to training and honing expertise. He noted that the national and educational status of Palestinian universities places them at the heart of the partnership and cooperation with all relevant sectors.
The Governor of Tulkarm expressed his admiration for the services provided by AAUP to students and the local community in all academic, medical, and health aspects, and in the field of scientific research, especially the University's achievements, such as the Prosthetics and Orthotics Factory, the Medical Complex, the Sports Village and other important facilities. He made this statement after watching several videos about the University and its achievements.
For his part, the Director General of the Education Directorate, Mr. Mazen Jarrar, listened to the achievements and services provided by the Arab American University, and viewed the new specializations offered at the university. He stressed that the continuation of joint cooperation between the Directorate of Education and AAUP in a way that serves the educational process by providing University facilities to support educational activities and what is necessary for them. He praised the visit of the University delegation to the Education Directorate in Tulkarm with the aim of opening the doors of the University to the community in Tulkarm to provide support and assistance to them, especially in light of the difficult circumstances that the Palestinian people are going through.
In turn, Assistant to the President of the Arab American University for Community Affairs, Dr. Laila Herzallah, gave a detailed presentation on the services provided by the University to the local community, in addition to the new specializations that the University has recently introduced. She stressed that AAUP always seeks to develop and advance using the latest modern and internationally classified technological techniques, confirming that the University opens its doors to all local community and Palestinian institutions, governmental, private and civil, for cooperation and partnership and organizing purposeful events and activities.
For his part, Engineer Mustafa Irshaid, Director General of the Prosthetics and Orthotics Factory at the Arab American University, gave a full presentation on the unique factory in the Middle East. He touched on the idea of the Factory and the most prominent technologies it operates and owns. He stressed that the Factory opens its doors to all Palestinian institutions and members of the local community with great facilities that the Factory will provide to the local community, especially in light of the difficult circumstances that the Palestinian people are going through. He also stressed the importance of networking with all institutions as well as the importance of cooperation between AAUP and institutions to provide services in full to the Palestinian community.
