The Faculty of Medicine at the Arab American University has held its first meeting for the Local Community Committee, to confirm their effective and vital role in supporting educational institutions, and the Faculty’s belief in this role. The meeting was held with the presence of Dr. Malik Zaben, Dean of the Faculty, his deputy, assistants, and Assistant President for Community Affairs Dr. Laila Harzallah, and representatives of the local community.

At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Zaben welcomed the members of the local community committee, represented by the positions they occupy, including governorates, municipalities, hospitals, and various departments in Jenin and Tubas. He reviewed the vision and mission of the Faculty of Medicine and its goals, the most important of which is graduating distinguished doctors. He also emphasized the role of the local community and its support, and touched upon some of the tasks of this committee. It was agreed to develop an executive plan to be studied and developed it in order to serve the nation and this scientific edifice, which has always been a dream come true to serve the people of our society.
