A delegation from the British Family Medicine Institute visited the Faculty of Medicine at the Arab American University. The visit aims to discuss cooperation between the two parties and implement a group of medical programs.

The visiting delegation consisted of Paul Wallace, Thirsy Zink from the British Family Medicine Institute, and Maha Al-Khateeb, Director of Medical Aid Programs for the Palestinians. They were received by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Dr. Imad Dweikat, Deputy Dean, Dr. Omar Sadeq, Head of the Physiology and Pharmacology Department, Dr. Reham Nazzal, Head of the Department of Pathology and Pharmacology, Dr. Ramez Zaid, and Head of the Department of Anatomy and Embryology, Dr. Emad Abu Alrub.

During the meeting, a number of medical issues and programs were discussed, such as establishing a family medicine center at the university, benefiting from the delegation’s experiences in teaching the family medicine course, cooperating with An-Najah University, benefiting from its experience in family medicine, and sending a proposal from the delegation regarding the establishment of the center and other specializations than family medicine.
