Dr. Yousef Asfour- the Chairman of the Board of Directors and Prof. Waleed Deeb- the Founding President and the Academic Advisor of the Board of Directors received a delegation from the Police Department including the Police Director of Ramallah and AlBireh, Dr. Alaa Shalabi and Mr. Mansur Khuzaimia- the Director of Academic Affairs at the Police General Directorate who visited AAUP Campus in Ramallah to discuss enhancing collaboration and to understand what academic programs AAUP provides.

During the meeting, both parties discussed some joint issues that need collaboration, especially in the scientific, technological and training aspects.

Dr. Asfour welcomed the delegation and praised the role of the Palestinian Police in keeping safety and security of the Palestinian people and the organizations, and emphasized that Arab American University in its both campuses in Jenin and Ramallah always opens its doors to benefit the community from its experiences, facilities and laboratories. Dr. Asfour also described how AAUP always seeks to develop its academic level and open new programs that fulfill the national needs, in addition to the joint scientific relations with the different universities and scientific centers in the US and Europe aiming to transfer the scientific experiences and benefit from it locally. Dr. Asfour explained that AAUP also keeps the national competencies in Palestine and prevent the mind migration in order to build organizations and help to serve the Palestinian people.

Dr. Shalabi transferred the greetings of Col. Hazim Atallah- the General Director of the Police Department, and assured that the police department always supports the education that AAUP and its faculty provides. He praised the educational, community and pioneer role of AAUP which reflects the modern and contemporary education that result in graduating a generation that will be part of the organizations of the country and its capital of Jerusalem.

Mr. Khuzaimia praised the continuous support that AAUP provides on the academic, medical and technological levels, and the many workshops and trainings in the different administrative and professional aspects and fields.
