Directed by the Board of Directors and aiming to keeping continuous developing in the infrastructure to serve the academic process and starting new international programs, Arab American University and the International Contracting Company AZ signed an agreement to start establishing a modern building in Ramallah Campus for the Faculty of Modern Sciences and Modern Media.  

The agreement was signed by Eng. Bara Asfour- the Assistant to the President of AAUP and Eng. Imad Amayra- the General Director of the International Contracting Company with the presence of the Executive Manager of AZ, Eng. Tariq Zabayneh.

Eng. Asfour said: “Arab American University is a university for all Palestinians and will always keen to develop its infrastructure from one hand, and start new and unique programs from the other hand.” He added: “Signing an agreement to establish the building of the Faculty of Modern Sciences and Modern Media is a step forward to reach the model Palestinian University-city which is a dream coming true. Arab American University graduated thousands of students from the different faculties and they are now building a better future all over the world.”

Eng. Asfour also ensured that the new building will be fully provided with modern systems in its classes, laboratories, ateliers and facilities that will provide students with everything they need during their study years in the new programs of “the Interior Architecture, Digital Marketing, Optometry, Communication and Social Media, Digital Media and Public Relations” that are related to the labor market needs.   

The total area of the new building will be 6491 m2 as Eng. Asfour explained, and it will be 7 floors that will include a stadium, a multi-purpose hall, 19 modern classes, 3 computer and technology laboratories and a floor for only a large library with modern system that enables students to focus and be creative in the closed discussing rooms. The building will also have a full floor for the Registration Department and the Administration Offices. Eng. Asfour said that the building will be a very beautiful architectural panel that symbolizes our country and forms a solid model in the minds of its students and employees externally and internally with its international specifications. He added that the building will be fully air-conditioned, and contains intelligent lighting and control systems, in addition to panorama elevators to facilitate vertical movement, and said that the new project will be ready within two years to be added to other university faculties.
