The Quality Promotion Office at the Arab American University, in cooperation with the Office of the Vice president for Academic Affairs, held a development workshop targeting department heads and faculty deans at the university.

In the workshop, the self-review process for faculties and academic programs at the university, as well as its importance in enhancing academic performance and ensuring quality were discussed.

This workshop comes within the University's efforts to spread the culture of self-assessment and raise the level of quality of education in line with the approved academic standards and the academic quality framework that the University developed and implemented.

At the beginning of the workshop, Professor Dr. Hazem Khanfar, Vice President for Academic Affairs, welcomed the participants in the workshop, faculty deans and heads of departments. He stressed the importance of the self-review process as an effective means of developing and improving the quality of education as well as medium- and long-term strategic planning at the level of programs and faculties.

Dr. Sami Sader, Director of the Quality Promotion Office, and the Quality Team also reviewed the self-review models at the level of academic programs and faculties, and stressed that the self-review process is an opportunity for faculties and programs to re-examine and determine their needs and development priorities.

For his part, Dr. Adli Saleh, Advisor to the Board of Directors for Planning, Development and Quality, emphasized the University's strategy and the directives of its Board of Directors towards enhancing the quality of education in line with the needs of the labor market and the best international academic practices in the field of higher education quality.
