The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Arab American University, Dr. Yousef Asfour, has visited the Jordanian Prime Minister, Dr. Jafar Hassan, in his office in the Jordanian capital, Amman. The visit came within the framework of strengthening academic relations and cooperation between AAUP and relevant bodies in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Yousef Asfour reviewed the progress of the Arab American University since its establishment in 2000 until today, highlighting the main milestones it has passed through. "The University began its first steps with an ambitious vision to provide distinguished education, and today it has succeeded in developing diverse and modern academic programs that are in line with labor market needs and trends of the era", Dr. Asfour stated.

In turn, the Prime Minister praised the remarkable development witnessed by the University, stressing that the distinguished educational programs it offers reflect a clear vision to keep pace with scientific and academic progress. He said: "It is clear how much the University cares about future sciences, which reflects its commitment to providing students with the knowledge and skills necessary to face contemporary challenges."

The Prime Minister expressed his admiration for the strategic partnerships that the Arab American University seeks to develop with various universities, which contribute to enhancing the exchange of knowledge and expertise, and providing advanced study programs that raise the level of education and scientific research.

In this context, Dr. Asfour stressed the importance of enhancing cooperation with Jordanian universities in various fields, especially in the medical field. He pointed out the positive impact of these relations on developing the infrastructure of the health sector in Palestine and preparing qualified medical staffs.

The meeting was attended by the member of the University's Board of Directors, Mr. Baha Asfour, who appreciated the Prime Minister's comments and interest in the University. He expressed the importance of the meeting in opening new horizons for fruitful cooperation between AAUP and the relevant Jordanian bodies.

At the end of the meeting, Dr. Yousef Asfour expressed his greetings and respect and the administration of the Arab American University to His Majesty King Abdullah II and his loyal Crown Prince, praising his continuous care and constant interest in the Palestinian cause, which reflects a firm commitment to the principles of justice and human rights.
