The Faculty of Pharmacy/Department of Cosmetics and Skincare at the Arab American University, in cooperation with Total Wellness Company for cosmetic products, has held a series of training workshops that concluded with practical training, targeting students of the first class of the specialization. The workshops aimed to enhance the theoretical aspect of students through non-systematic practical applications, in addition to preparing them professionally and developing their skills in line with the requirements of the labor market.
For her part, Dr. Suhad Ainabosi, Acting Director of the Cosmetics and Skincare Department, emphasized the department’s distinction in providing a distinctive and safe educational environment, using the latest educational tools and comfortable facilities, in addition to the presence of an experienced academic staff. She stressed that the University’s administrative support contributes significantly to developing students and raising their academic and professional level. "We seek to establish partnerships and agreements with companies specialized in the field of skincare during the coming period, with the aim of training students and organizing various workshops to enhance the balance between theoretical knowledge and practical skills, which will positively reflect on their professional future," Ainabosi added.
From Total Wellness, trainers Duha Abu Safia and Rasha Nazzal praised the role played by the University, and the Department of Cosmetics and Skincare in particular, in developing students' skills. They explained that practical training enhances their skills and gives them distinction in their field, stressing that the University keeps pace with developments and is keen to provide everything that serves its students.
The workshops were concluded with a practical application and a special session for the skin and using some of the company's products, and were attended by some members of the Cosmetics and Skincare Diploma staff. These workshops come as part of a series of training workshops aimed at empowering Cosmetics and Skincare Diploma students with modern skills and knowledge, which increases their opportunities in the labor market and enhances their distinction compared to graduates of other universities.
Training certificates were distributed to the program students by the company with the presence of Prof. Dr. Hazem Khanfar / Vice President of AAUP for Academic Affairs and Prof. Dr. Hatem Hijaz / Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy and the faculty staff.
