Researcher Mohammad Dawood Abu Dhair, a student in the Master's Program in Intensive Care Nursing at the Faculty of Graduate Studies at the Arab American University, has defended his thesis titled "The effect of the educational program for the ventilator via virtual reality on the knowledge and skills of nursing students at the Arab American University."

Regarding the significance of the study, the researcher explained that there is a weakness in terms of knowledge of the ventilator and also virtual reality, and this proposed research aims to contribute to the set of knowledge and skills by focusing on creating virtual patients in the field of the ventilator, which has a major role in enhancing and developing nursing in Palestine.

The study came out with several results, the most prominent of which is the existence of statistical significance between the levels of knowledge and skills in the post-test for the virtual reality group and the traditional teaching group. The recommendation is using virtual reality technology in teaching nursing.

The thesis was supervised by Dr. Sajid Ghawadreh and co-supervised by Dr. Ahmed Owais. The examination committee included Dr. Samar Jallad and Dr. Imad Abu Khader.
