The University participated in the specialized summer school, which was organized at University of Flensburg, Germany, entitled "Democracy and Islam", where the school hosts academics and professors in related disciplines, and offers academic lectures for postgraduate students. Where these lectures and papers will be published in a book.

The University participation represented by VP for Academic Affairs Dr. Zaki Saleh and VP for International Dr. Dalal Erekat, comes after the signing of a memorandum of cooperation and partnership between the two universities to encourage scientific research and the implementation of joint activities.

Dr. Dalal Erekat presented a paper entitled "from Diplomacy to Democracy in Palestine: A Success or Failure?". Whereas, Dr. Zaki Saleh presented a paper by a German researcher entitled "Solidarity".

In the same context, representatives of AAUP held several meetings with representatives from University of Flensburg, Germany. In order to ehance the joint cooperation between the two institutions, as well as creating joint projects and programs between the two universities.
