The Department of Basic Education seeks to pioneer the preparation of academically and professionally qualified teachers in the fields of basic education, English language teaching, and educational administration, in addition to qualifying graduates from various specializations to work in the educational field through the Educational Qualification Diploma Program.

The department aims to develop innovative educational environments that enhance effective teaching skills and keep pace with modern developments in education, with a focus on the use of technology and the promotion of critical thinking and effective interaction in the classroom.

Vision

The department seeks to enhance educational values, scientific research, and community interaction, by providing supportive educational environments and applied training programs, and enabling students to use the latest educational strategies to ensure quality education and achieve sustainable development in the educational field.

Mission

The department is committed to preparing graduates capable of meeting the needs of basic education through four main programs:

  • Elementary Education: Preparing teachers for grades 1 to 4 with modern teaching skills that emphasize active learning and effective interaction.
  • English Language Teaching: Qualifying English language teachers for the basic education stage with advanced linguistic and pedagogical skills aligned with international standards.
  • Educational Administration: Providing students with leadership and administrative knowledge and skills to efficiently and effectively manage educational institutions.
  • Educational Qualification Diploma: Aimed at equipping bachelor’s degree holders in Science, Arabic, English, and Mathematics with the pedagogical skills needed to become competent teachers capable of effectively teaching these subjects in schools.

The department seeks to promote educational values, scientific research, and community engagement by providing supportive learning environments, practical training programs, and empowering students to utilize the latest teaching strategies to ensure quality education and sustainable development in the educational field.
