Overview

The Bachelor of Science in Public Safety Engineering prepares engineers to protect people and communities from industrial, construction, environmental, and health-related hazards.

The curriculum combines theoretical knowledge and practical applications, covering risk analysis, accident prevention, modern safety systems, and emergency/disaster management, along with related regulations and standards.

Vision

To be a leader in public safety engineering education regionally and internationally by preparing innovative engineers capable of applying global safety standards and contributing to sustainable and safe communities.

Mission

To graduate competent engineers with strong academic and practical backgrounds in safety engineering, capable of analyzing hazards, providing preventive solutions, managing emergencies, and contributing to safer working environments and sustainable development.

Goals

  • Develop multidisciplinary safety engineers equipped to assess, manage, control  risks in public, industrial, and environmental domains.
  • Provide strong foundational knowledge in engineering principles, safety science, disaster preparedness, risk management, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Integrate technology and innovation including AI, data analytics, and smart systems into safety planning and management.
  • Promote ethical responsibility and legal awareness in safety-related decision-making processes.
  • Foster professional skills in communication, teamwork, and leadership to enable effective collaboration across sectors.
  • Encourage experiential learning through internships, capstone projects, and fieldwork aligned with real-world public safety challenges.
  • Support sustainable communities by preparing graduates to design solutions that protect lives, property, and the environment.
  • Prepare students for continuous professional development or advanced studies in engineering, safety, and risk-related disciplines.
