Program Admission Requirements
Applicant must be a holder of a bachelor’s degree with a grade of at least "good" standing in media, communication, or social sciences or any of its related fields from a recognized academic institution by the Palestinian Ministry of Education and Higher Education.

Documents Required from Applicants
Original and legalized copies of the documents below must be submitted in order to secure full admission
- Fill out AAUP online Application.
- Original or Legalized copies of Academic Certificate and Transcript. ( certified by the Palestinian Ministry of Education and Higher Education).
- Transcript of high school diploma certified / or its equivalent by the Palestinian Ministry of Education.
- Original birth certificate or a copy duly certified copy.
- Copy of the National Identity Card (local applicants) or a copy of the passport (international applicants).
- Recent personal photo (2 pictures).
- Two letters of recommendation either academic or professional.
- A motivation written and signed by the applicant. ( one to three pages ).
- Original experience certificate (English) if found.
- For students transferring from another university to the Arab American University, a sealed transcript from the previous university is required and must be submitted. If the university is outside Palestine, the transcript must be certified by the Palestinian Ministry of Education and Higher Education.

Academic System and Study Load
- Study at the Faculty of Graduate Studies at the Arab American University is based on the credit hour system. The academic year consists of two regular semesters, each sixteen weeks period, and an optional eight-week summer semester. The summer semester is an extension of the second semester.
- Master's and Ph.D. students may register for 6 to 12 credit hours in the regular semester and 3 to 6 credit hours in the summer semester. The credit hours allocated for remedial courses are not included in the student's study load. The maximum duration of study for a master's degree is eight regular semesters, and the maximum duration of study for a Ph.D. degree is twelve regular semesters, excluding interruptions or deferments. The Council may extend a student's study for three consecutive regular semesters.
- Student admitted to the Faculty may defer their studies in the program for a maximum of three consecutive or separate regular semesters, provided they have completed at least one regular semester in the program they are enrolled in. A student shall not be permitted to drop out or defer after registering for thesis or dissertation credits.
- The full-time study load for a student in the Ph.D. of Business Administration program in partnership with Indiana University is 18 credit hours per academic year. For the Ph.D. of Information Technology Engineering program, dissertation credits are included in the student's study load, with the maximum summer semester load being 6 credit hours. The student must be available for at least two regular semesters while working on the dissertation.
- Higher Diploma: The requirements for obtaining the certificate include completion of the program's credit requirements according to the approved plan within a maximum period of one year as of the beginning of the student's enrollment in the program.

Application Review Process
Admissions staff will review each application individually. The requirements will be checked and matched with the specific requirements of applicant's chosen specialization and decisions will be made, applying doesn’t mean you got accepted in the specialization.
Documents
Required original documents must be submitted with the application. Note that AAUP gives limited time frame to submit the required documents with your application.
Personal Interview
In some specializations student must succeed a personal interview, theoretical exam, or practical exam to complete the admission process.
