The Arab American University is seeking to hire a director for the "Public Relations Department".

The director of the Public Relations Department is expected to be responsible for strengthening partnerships with all the local community organizations, developing the University strategic and marketing plans, as well as building positive relations with all the University Departments and Faculties.    

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Mapping out the strategies and development plans of Public Relations Department in line with the University objectives and vision.
• Supervising the implementation and organization of media campaigns.
• Supervising the organization of events and conferences according to the rules of protocol.
• Supervising the organization of welcoming the official delegations according to the rules of protocol and etiquette.
• Supervising the implementation and arrangement of visits, to and from the University, and coordination with the Faculties and Administrative Department at the University.
• Building strong relations with the media, local community organizations, ministries and public figures.
• Supervising the preparation and publication of press releases, media materials and content management on social media pages during public events, conferences and various activities.
• Analyzing and managing of crisis and public problems, together with handling it efficiently.
• Submitting periodic reports on media activities and campaigns.
• Managing, directing of Public Relations Team and organizing their work. 

Qualifications and Experience Required for the Job: 

1. The applicant must have a Bachelor’s Degree with a working experience of at least 7 years, including 5 years in public relations senior positions.
2. It is preferable that the applicant has a Master's Degree with a working experience of 5 years in one of the following fields:
   • Public Relations.
   • International Relations.
   • Media and Mass Communication.
   • Integrated Digital Media.
   • Political Science and Digital Diplomacy.
3. The applicant must be proficient in English.
4. Applicants who master several languages are preferable.
