The Arab American University announces openings for a Teaching and Research Assistant (Medical Doctor) to work at the University’s office located in Amman, Jordan. This position is offered temporarily, commencing with the Fall semester of the 2025/2026 academic year.

The Teaching and Research Assistant should support both training and research activities, demonstrate good academic and administrative skills, and genuinely contribute to the development of the medical education and research environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Organize clinical training schedules and monitor students’ attendance at hospitals and training centers.
• Track attendance and absence, record evaluations, and submit periodic reports.
• Supervise clinical skills laboratories and provide student training when needed.
• Participate in delivering lectures and basic theoretical courses for medical students.
• Supervise certain scientific laboratories.
• Contribute to the preparation and administration of practical and theoretical examinations.
• Support scientific research and assist students in developing their research projects.
• Contribute to administrative tasks such as preparing reports and coordinating with various university departments.

Qualifications and Skills Required for the Job:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Medicine from a recognized university.
• A valid license to practice medicine.
• Previous experience in academic training is preferred.
• Interest in scientific research and participation in academic activities is an asset.
