The Arab American University is seeking to hire a research and teaching assistant in the Faculty of Dentistry.

The applicant is expected to be committed to supervising and training students on the practical aspects of dental clinics, including assisting them in achieving their academic goals and enhancing their understanding of theoretical concepts. The applicant should also contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the field of dentistry by sharing research and participating in relevant academic activities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Supervising and training students on the practical skills necessary to practice dentistry, such as diagnosis and treatment of dental diseases in educational laboratories.
2. Assisting students understand the theoretical concepts related to dentistry by providing explanation and guidance.
3. Supervising students’ research and assisting them in developing ideas, analyzing data, and writing reports.
4. Qualifying and preparing students as well as contributing to providing high-quality health care through education, research, and community participation.
5. Participating in research and publishing in medical journals.
6. Participating in academic activities, seminars, workshops, and other activities that enhance the environment of teaching and research.
7. Proctoring midterm and final exams.
8. Monitoring the enforcement of the infection prevention policy while working in clinics and laboratories.

Qualifications and Skills Required for the Job:

1. The applicant must have a bachelor’s degree in dentistry from an accredited university.
2. The applicant must have a Palestinian practicing license from the Ministry of Health and the Palestinian Dentists Syndicate.
3. Minimum one year of practical experience.
