The Arab American University is seeking to hire a security officer to work in the University security department on a temporary contract.

The security officer is expected to provide security services to ensure the safety of students, employees and visitors, in addition to protecting University property, and adhering to the instructions and regulations in effect at the University.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Monitor and secure the entrances and exits of the University campus.
• Conduct inspection tours of University facilities and faculties.
• Intervene in emergency situations and take the necessary measures to resolve disputes and protect students, employees, visitors and University property.
• Submit daily reports to the direct supervisor.
• Use security surveillance systems (such as cameras).
• Commitment to implementing security and preventive plans at official events and student activities.
• Assisting visitors, students and employees with any inquiries related to security and safety.
• Adherence to the University's regulations, instructions and policies.

Qualifications and Skills Required for the Job:

• The applicant must have a high school certificate.
• The applicant must be between 25-35 years old.
• Preference will be given to those with practical experience in the field of security (experience working within educational institutions).
• The applicant must be able to work shifts (morning and evening) and work on official holidays, festivals and occasions, and be present to work when called upon at any time.
• The applicant must be available in full time to work at the University.
• It is preferable that the applicant has knowledge of first aid.

Required Documents:

• A medical examination certificate proving that the applicant has a healthy body structure free of diseases.
• A certificate of no criminal record.
