AAU and the Palestinian Education for Employment Foundation organize “search for work is work” training course

Department of alumni affairs at the university and the Palestinian education for employment foundation organize training course entitled "search for work is work". Thirty graduates participated in a 20-hour training course addressed important topics while looking for work such as mechanism of write a CV and cover letter, search mechanisms for available vacancies and how to prepare for successful job interviews.

Dr. Nizam Diab Vice President of Community Affairs welcomed the representatives of Palestinian Education for Employment Foundation, expressing the university thanks on their efforts and services to the advancement of Palestinian youth to be able to shape their own future and their aspirations. He said to graduates, “I call the Palestinian youth to look for alternative employment opportunities to overcome Palestine’s high rates of unemployment and think more seriously in leading projects which can establish small companies capable to work and open new horizons to be tributary of the national economy”

Mr. Saro Nkachian, Director General of Palestinian Education for Employment Foundation praised the importance of partnership between Arab American University and the foundation, adding that the foundation was able to provide this training with support from Alwaleed Foundation for humanitarian charity where training comes as part of a Foundation's program interested in strengthening job searching skills for college students to improve their chances of finding work after graduation.

Director of training at the Palestinian Education for Employment Foundation Nevin Kdadhh praised the university role to enrich its alumni experiences and bring them closer to the labor market, noting that this training complement series of activities done previously with the university, pointing out that the institution is working to apply ambitious plan to enrich graduates experiences and enhance their abilities.

Bilal al-Ashqar Head of alumni affairs at the University pointed out that the university will host experts and local university graduates to talk about their working experiences. Confirming that alumni affairs Department will be carry out more training programs in cooperation with the Palestinian Education for Employment Foundation and other institutions working in this field.
