Students from Tamayyaz program at AAUP participated in the coexistence camp with the national security forces which was held in Nuweima camp in Jericho and lasted for three days.
The purpose of the camp, which was organized by Sharek Youth Forum, is to provide participants with the skills of commitment, discipline, leadership and national responsibility, as well as to break the barrier between members of the security services and citizens.
The participants received several exercises and fitness skills and other related skills and how deal with citizens in addition to holding lectures and organizing cultural and artistic evenings.
The coordinator of Tamayyaz program at Arab American University Mr. Bilal Ashqar said that the program established a strategic partnership with various Palestinian institutions to enrich the program, including the Palestinian national security forces through the coexistence camp, which is held with the participation of distinguished students of our University, noting the importance of such events in creating students' personality and preparing them to face all future challenges.
the Executive Director of Sharek Youth Forum Mr. Bader Zamarih said that the students were eager to experience this new activity. Assuring the importance of coexistence camps in giving students the qualities, discipline, seriousness and respect for time and commitment and firmness, through a daily program developed by officer’s supervisors of this program.
The student Laith Jitawi, expressed his happiness at participating in the national security camp, saying that it is a unique experience he had learned from and advise other university students to take that experience because of its positive impact on developing the character and enriching experience. Starting from committing to the instructions and discipline to time respect reaching to the life of the Palestinian security man and his commitment in providing security for the citizens.
Tamayyaz program is a national strategic program aimed at empowering Palestinian university students by bridging the gap between the university environment and the work environment, which requires many skills and practical capabilities to enter the labor market, which are constantly changing as a result of the changes in the business world.
