Announcement: Start of Accepting Applications for Admission for Bachelor's Program in Doctor of Optometry for Spring Semester of Academic Year 2019/2020

The Deanship of Admission and Registration at Arab American University announces the start of receiving applications for admission for bachelor’s program in " Doctor of Optometry " In cooperation with SUNY - the State University of New York, which is the second in the world in this field for Spring semester of academic year 2019/2020 from Monday, 03/02/2020 until Wednesday, 29/02/2020.

 

Admission Requirements:

  1. The applicant must hold a high school certificate or an equivalent certificate in scientific, and must have a minimum high school average of 80%.
  2. Pass the personal interview

 

Teaching Location:

Ramallah Campus. Faculty members from SUNY University will be recruited periodically to teach the program courses, which were mainly prepared using the SUNY University curriculum.

 

Credit hour fee:

The credit hour fee is $150 dollars, and the university offers a 40% discount for the first batch students so that the credit hour fee after the discount becomes $90.

 

Admission Application Instructions:

  1. Submission of admission applications will begin on Monday, 03 February 2020.
  2. The Admission Card can be obtained through:
    • Financial Department at the main campus of the University in Jenin.
    • Ramallah Campus –  AL-Rehan.
    • University Office in Nazareth.
    • University Office in Rahat.
    • The following banks in all its branches:

    • Admission application fees is $100 USD non-refundable.

       

  3. Fill out the online application form that’s available at (www.aaup.edu/apply) And enter all the required fields.
  4. While filling out the application, you can save it and return later for amendments and send it.
  5. Applicant should go then to the Deanship of Admissions and Registration at the university main campus in Jenin for submitting the original documents.
  6. When the application is complete and all requirements have been achieved the student will receive the final acceptance letter.
  7. The student should pay for the seat reservation fees at any of our certified banks then get the seat reservation letter by Email or from the Deanship of Admission and Registration. Which contains login information required for the Edugate Portal and other additional information.

Required Documents: (Original and legalized copies of the documents below must be submitted in order to secure full admission)

  1. Fill out AAUP online Application.
  2. Transcript of high school diploma certified / or its equivalent by the Palestinian Ministry of Education. And for Bagrut Students, Original Bagrut diploma (Taodat Bagrut / תעודת בגרות) and translated to English or Arabic as duly authorized by the notary public.
  3. National Identity Card (local applicants) or passport (international applicants)
  4. Original birth certificate or a copy duly certified. (local applicants)
  5. Two Personal photos.

 

Remarks:

  1. The deadline to apply for admission to the program, is Wednesday, 29/02/2020.
  2. Submitting the application form does not -necessarily- guarantee admission.
  3. Please keep Admission Card until you get the final acceptance.
