Abstract:
This study examines the macroeconomics determinants of the Palestinian public debt. The unique data set used in this research comes from the annual report for Palestine Monitory Authority for the last 15 years from (1999-2015).A multiple regression model was estimated. Among the variables used which are: GDP, Foreign Aid, budget deficit- surplus, Unemployment Rate, exports, , inflation Rate, Government Spending, and Gross Revenues, we found that the GDP, exports, and gross revenues variables are significant at 0.05 or better on impact the public debt. Moreover, results confirmed that there is a significant strong positive relationship between public debt and GDP in Palestinian territory.
