AAU set off the Screens Tenth Cinema Festival by Presenting "Very Hot Summer” Film

Deanship of Student Affairs at Arab American University, in collaboration with the Foundation Screens, presented a short film entitled “Very Hot Summer," as a part of the Screens Foundation tenth festival which is entitled: "Women's Cinema in Palestine"  “This Year's Motto "  and“ What is tomorrow?”..

The film embodies a real story and a personal experience of the director during the war on Gaza in 2014. It is also produced by screens foundation for women's cinema, and the scenario was directed by Areej Abu Eid.

The Assistant of the Dean of Student  Affairs, Mohammad Kmail, welcomed the attendees before the show, and  thanked Screens Foundation for its support for the Palestinian Cinema, as well as the  Palestinian women, through  producing short films.

In turn, the Head of alumni affairs at the Student Affairs Deanship, Bilal al-Ashqar, notified  that this film and four others, will be displayed at the Arab American University during the upcoming four weeks.

After the show, the media professor at the Department of Arabic Language and Media administrated a discussion with the audience.

It is worth mentioning that Screens Foundation has launched  the tenth Cinema Festival for short films show, in the Palestinian universities first, afterwards it is going to be  shown  in the cities, refugee camps, and institutions in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
