Prof. Abu Zuhri added that AAUP is pleased to announce the launch of a new master program in Data Sciences and Business Analytics, this program is an international program launched and taught in famous universities. this program will impact and influence on the interest of Palestinian companies and institutions as it does on local and international markets.

AAUP continuously seeks to develop new modern programs and create international partnerships with other universities to deliver high quality teachings to its students, and as for that said AAUP is pleased to announced that international experts and academics will participate in teaching the master program in data sciences along with local experts.
AAUP believes in the importance of local partnerships, as for that AAUP & PCBS has took this initiative step toward in launching a national strategic partnership to complementary AAUP’s efforts, where they aim to prepare specialists in data sciences according to the demanding need of the Palestinian local market, and for the regional and international markets.
Data science interacts in many specializations such as statistics, mathematics, algorithms, industrial intelligence, machine learning, data mining, and data technology. That will in return produce knowledge that is able to construct Predictive Models used to analyze reality in depth as well as predict the future.
In latest years there was a saying that "data is the oil of the 21st century" because it first needs to be extracted and refined to be useful. As for the one that owns it, will be the one capable to possess these sources of power and influence the world. This applies to all areas of life, whether military, security, economic, financial, health and environmental, or even in the natural sciences such as physics, chemistry, biology, geology or even social and human sciences.
Business and financial experts at the European Institute for Data Analysis expect that data science market will to be more than $ 111 billion in 2022. This area of business will also grow by 27% annually. At present time, the richest companies in the world are those that rely mainly on data science income. As Google, for example, made $ 116 billion in smart data usage. NetFlex saved more than $ 1 billion by knowing and retaining participants' needs.
These huge recourses produced by the companies that have properly benefited from the data are 1% of the data available on the internet. by that said we can imagine the problems we will face, along with the amount of income that will be generated if analyzed 10% or 20% of the data currently available on the Internet.
Due to the growing development in data science. Data Sciences jobs have become the most attractive jobs in recent years. Research centers estimate that the volume of jobs available in data science will highly increase. McKinsey Co. for Consultant in USA expects that data science jobs will exceed more than 4 million jobs by 2020 in the United States alone. In another study, it was expected that there will be more than 2.7 million vacancies in data science by 2020 in the whole world. IBM Co., points out that the demanding need for data science specialists will see an annual increase of 28%, and the need for data analytics has created more than 14 million jobs since 2013. Noting that data science specialists are paid $ 110,000 to $ 150,000 yearly in the US market.
The Palestinian Market is in the need of benefiting from data sciences, where the master program in Data Sciences and Statistic Analytics received high acceptance from researchers and companies, where this show a positive indicator of this new trend in Palestine.
AAUP studies show that many local companies and institutions have opened departments for data sciences or intending to do so on the short terms, as it was showed that there is an increasing demand regarding this specialization.
he added that AAUP & (PCBS) will jointly lead the national effort in this regard. In addition to the graduate programs offered by the university, where it has launched a new master program in Data Sciences and Statistic Analytics. As the both parties are looking forward to launching many initiatives hoping that Palestine will play a prominent role in this area.
