Al-Aqsa Institution for Waqf and Heritage gives gifts of books titled “The Holy Places Encyclopaedia in Palestine”

The university president Professor Mahmoud AbuMwais welcomed a delegation who visited the university from Al-Aqsa Institution for Waqf and Heritage “the Headquarter at Um Al-Fahem” who visited the university to give the administration an appreciation gift of a volume titled “The Holy Places Encyclopaedia in Palestine” for the role of awareness and education that the university is doing.
Advocate Mohammad Soubhi the head of Al-Aqsa institution gave an explanation about the encyclopaedia to the university president; he said “this encyclopaedia consists of four volumes of documenting all the holy places at the displaced villages of 1948. The volume contains 7 places of Akka, Haifa, Safad, Tabarya, Bisan, Al-Nasra and Jenin, and this work took almost 13 years to be completed by a staff of History scientists, engineers and Field workers, and over 1600 holy places were computed.”

About the reason that the Arab American University was chosen to be given this great gift, Subhi pointed that “the Arab American University has a special place among the Palestinians of the lands of 1948 as a scientific minaret that gathered all the Palestinians under its roof. This gift is to assert its national and educational important role, and its concern and interest in the scientific research. And so, the university deserved to have a copy of this encyclopaedia”.
Professor AbuMwais appreciated the role that the institution has done and the effort to finalize such a great project, and he asserted on the necessity of completing it to cover all the places in Palestine. AbuMwais mentioned that this encyclopaedia will be considered as part of the researches as the university care about the scientific research and consider it as a priority.
  The University Library represented by Mr. Hasan Al-Saeed also received another copy of the encyclopaedia.
