The Arab American University's Board of Directors holds a meeting in Amman

Chaired by Dr. Yousef Asfour and with the presence of all the members, the Board of Directors held a meeting in Amman.
Dr. Asfour welcomed the members and expressed his appreciation to them and to all the shareholders for their efforts and continuous support to the University at the academic and scientific levels. He expressed his hope that this support will help place the university among the World’s best.
Dr. Asfour also asserted that the university administration must plan to provide  academic programs that are needed by the local and international markets, as well as recruit highly qualified Palestinian and International academics.

He emphasised that the university will continue providing the needed infrastructure and requirements for up-to-date teaching and learning environment. 
Professor Mahmoud Abu Mwais, the University President, gave a detailed presentation  about the biannual report of the university which covers  the academic development plans such as the accredited programs, the programs that were submitted for accreditation .He also discussed  the procedures to advance  academic excellence in the university 

Professor AbuMwais also reviewed the achievements and plans of different units including the Community Affairs and the International Relations. He also briefed the Board on the agreements that have been signed and their positive impact on the university.
The Assistant to the President for the Financial and Administrative Affairs Mr. Faleh AbuArrah discussed the projects of construction in the university and showed photos of these projects .He informed the Board that the building of the Faculty of the Allied Medical Sciences was completed and was furnished with modern laboratories and equipment. He also informed the Board that the President building was also completed and furnished.

In addition, Mr. AbuArrah briefed the Board about that stages that the work at the Buildings of the Languages Centre, the Registration departments has reached. He also talked about the Graduate Studies Centre in Ramallah and its needs, and he gave few suggestions aiming to improve the financial and administrative performance at the university.
The Board, after reviewing these accomplishments, congratulated the university’s administration on their achievements in a record time. 

The Board asserted their continuous support, and on providing all the university needs. They thanked all the staff and faculty members of the University for their Commitments and hard work. and appreciated their important role in the university’s achievements.
