Arab American University launched its new Website which has distinct modern style reflecting its content to ensure easy use and information access, as part of university administration orientations to keep up with global technological development in the educational process.
University electronic programs Supervisor and the new website supervisor Eng. Bara Asfour explained that the website has been developed fully in the university through President Assistant for Information Technology Office and it’s characterized by supporting different tablets and smart devices, the data are updated automatically by linking them to university databases, and giving the website priority to be on top of search page when using the Google search engine to get published research on website
Eng. Asfour noted that user can browse the website in Arabic and English. Also, it provides smart search service to find any content available on the website. And a sticky menu on top of all pages for most demanded icons. The new website provides academic calendar fully explained and detailed by month and year views. And personal pages for each of the university faculty members that includes CVs, scientific research and expertise, academic certificates, communication ways for each member. The development of the website were according to international standards including adoption of the international colors for college’s pages. These pages provide complete information about colleges, each individually. The website shows internal and external scientific researches, researches from the journal of the Arab American University, and distinguished researchers in recognition of their efforts and giving.
Website provides university students and prospective students number of basic services like choosing majors and programs that students can study depending on their average, high school branch and calculating tuition fees and credit hours prices screen in each major, in addition to allocating space on homepage for university outstanding graduates success stories in different workplaces.
Engineer Asfour shows that the website displays news in a unique way divided into three categories; university news, scientific research news and alumni news. Also, there is spot for announcements and available scholarships and expected events and activities. Also, website visitors have access to the university, its activities, buildings and laboratories through easy to use Photo & video Gallery.
Eng. Asfour thanked all teams contributed in building the website and provide content and updated harmonized information with what the university provides and its future goals. Also, he thanked particularly the webmaster Mr. Ahmad Abu Obaid for his efforts in building the website. He confirmed it will be qualitative addition to the university offered services for all visitors from around the world, it’s a further step in the university road internationality.
