Palestinian Telecommunication Group and AAU Signs Agreement to Improve University’s Wireless Internet

Palestinian Telecommunication Group and AAUP signed an agreement to improve the university wireless network and WIFI services, at the Telecommunication Group headquarter in Ramallah.

During the ceremony held in The Telecommunication Group headquarter in Ramallah, in the presence of University President Prof. Dr. Ali Zedan Abu Zuhri, CEO of the Telecommunication Group Mr. Ammar Al Aker, University President Assistant for Administrative and Financial Affairs Mr. Faleh Abu Arra, Head of AAUP Administrative Affairs department Mr. Omar Bzoor, Jawwal General Manager Mr. Abdulmajeed Milhem and Telecommunication Group managers.

University President Prof. Dr. Ali Abu Zuhri expressed his happiness with the agreement, which will lead to development in administrative and academic work within the university technology and scientific research, achieving its educational and social mission in providing the Palestinian society and labor market with qualified, trained graduates to build society. He praised the Telecommunications Group contribution to support and develop AAUP wireless network in order to develop the educational process, enabling students and employees to use technology.

Abu Zuhri stressed on the importance of continuous cooperation between the private sector and educational institutions, which has a great impact on the advancement of the education sector, thanking the Telecommunications Group for its commitment towards social responsibility to maintain higher education in Palestine.

Telecommunication Group CEO Mr. Ammar Al Aker said, this agreement is part of the group’s strategy to afflictively contribute and participate with higher education institutions to develop this essential sector. The group believes that technological investment in higher education sector can develop universities, colleges and institutions quality education plans, give both teachers and students at the same time the opportunity and possibility to develop students' skills to meet local market needs, help graduates entering the labor market, contribute in Palestine’s overall development process, pointing that the Group is keen on continuing support and cooperate with various higher education institutions by using modern technology to develop education.

Al Aker pointed, this support comes from the Telecommunication Group believe in the Arab American University importance as an educational institution that accepts many students every year, its role to build Palestine’s future by creating, raise and develop the upcoming generation’s educational, intellectual and cultural level. Al Aker stressed on the group’s highest priority and main strategy to always seek for new modern mechanisms to support and develop education and ways to improve renewable development.
