Prof. Dr. Ali Zeidan Abu Zuhri, president of the Arab American University announced the opening of an affiliated office for the university in the city of Nazareth in the occupied Palestinian territories in 1948.
He explained that the reason for choosing the city of Nazareth to open the office is due to it being the largest Arab city in the interior territories and its location is in the center of the north and south Arab Sector, as well as it provides ease of access to the people from those areas who seek for the service.
For his part, Professor Faleh Abu Arra the Rector Assistant for Administrative and Financial Affairs explained that the Office commenced work at the beginning of this month in conjunction with the starting of the first semester of the academic year 2016/2017. The office will provide all admission and registration services and answers to related inquiries and spreading knowledge about the university. Thus, the office will provide advanced services to students from the Palestinian inner territories who wish to enroll in the University and to their families also, and will be a link between the Arab American University and the Palestinians in those territories.
Professor Abu Arra called the Arab masses, students and the administrators of the Arabic schools in those territories to refer to the office and take advantage from the services provided, indicating that the address of the office is in Nazareth, in Alcazanona Street – Khan Al-Basha Building, near to Nazareth Association for Culture and Tourism.
